This year's MTV
VMAs host Miley Cyrus has revealed she definitely wasn't
cheering for Nicki Minaj when she went on her epic Twitter rant last month. The rapper
famously got half of the showbiz world talking about the VMAs when she
criticised MTV for snubbing her from certain categories.
And this
year's host Miley says she didn't bother paying too much attention to the drama
because the rapper's approach was one of "anger".
She told The
New York Times: "If you do things with an open heart and you come at
things with love, you would be heard and I would respect your statement. But I
don't respect your statement because of the anger that came with it."

like a b**ch, but that's like, 'Eh, I didn't get my VMA'... If you want to make
it about race, there's a way you could do that.
"But
don't make it just about yourself. Say: 'This is the reason why I think it's
important to be nominated. There's girls everywhere with this body type.'"

tweeted: "If I was a different "kind" of artist, Anaconda would
be nominated for best choreo and vid of the year as well.
"If
your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for
vid of the year."
The Love
Story singer hit back: I've done nothing but love & support you. It's
unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your
slot."
Taylor Swift
later apologised but not before countless other stars, including Taylor's
former friend Katy Perry, had waded in
