The Red
Devils checked in at the Lowry on Friday, but axed De Gea was nowhere to be
seen after being omitted from the matchday squad
Manchester
United checked in at the Lowry Hotel earlier ahead of Saturday's Premier
League curtain-raiser against Tottenham Hotspur.
David De Gea
was absent from the photos after manager Louis Van Gaal revealed he will
not start against Spurs, reports the Manchester Evening News.
However, his
potential replacements Sergio Romero and Sam Johnstone were both in attendance.
New signings
Memphis Depay, Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger are also pictured
among the party, although the latter is not considered fit enough for a
starting berth in the 12.45pm clash at Old Trafford.
Van Gaal
says United will be stronger this season following a string of new
arrivals.
