RESIDENTS in Awka, the
Anambra State capital, were thrilled when the Nollywood star, Mrs. Chioma
Akpotha moved from house to house at the Ngozika Housing Estate in the city,
introducing Unilever Nigeria Plc’s 100 gram Omo fast action to them.
The Omo Brand Ambassador, who visited about 40 homes, handed
them complimentary 100 gram Omo packs and used the opportunity to speak on the
superior stain removing technology and power of the detergent.
Chioma described Unilever’s initiative as a means of creating
awareness for the new pocket-friendly 100 gm detergent which, she said, retains
Omo’s fastest tough stain removing power.
“The great thing about the 100 gram pack is that while it
costs just N50, it still delivers the same quality cleaning performance the Omo
brand is known and trusted for,” she added.
One of the residents, Mr. Emeka Moneme, said that his family
has been using Omo for as long as he could remember, describing the detergent
as the most effective stain remover he had known.
According to him, the 100 gram pack would ensure more value
at less cost and recommended it for other families.
Akpotha later capped up the visit to Awka with an exciting
washing contest, during which she proved to the audience that Omo came out as
the champion of the detergents.
Omo Brand Manager, Sarah Adoki stated that the 100 gram pack
proves Omo is an innovative and responsive to the needs of its teeming
consumers.
She said that the 100 gram pack was introduced to make Omo
more available to a greater number of consumers at less cost.
“It is the same quality of Omo that our people knew and at
only N50 naira, there is no better bargain in the market today,” she added.
