Cool Fm to celebrate 17th anniversary on October 1

As Nigeria celebrates it’s 55th independence anniversary on October 1, 2015, popular urban radio station Cool Fm will also be celebrating it’s 17th anniversary on the same day.

The station, led by Lebanese businessman, Ameen Mousalli, would be rolling out the drums to celebrate the landmark achievement. Cool Fm Lagos 96.9 started operations in October 1998, followed by Cool FM Abuja in November 2001, Cool FM Port Harcourt in November 2008, and then Cool FM Kano in October 2011.
