Kendall Jenner stunned fans Sept. 16 when she appeared on a
red carpet in a revealing white gown with what appeared to be a ring through
her left nipple. Now she’s opening up about why she got the controversial
piercing.
“It is true,” Kendall confirmed to Page Six regarding her wild new nipple hardware. The
Estee Lauder model revealed during a launch party for one of the brand’s
fragrances that “I was going through a period in my life, having a rough time,
being a rebel and was like ‘Let’s just do it.’”
But it looks like a really painful way to deal with a rough
patch in life. “[I was] so terrified, I’m laying on the bed like ‘Why am I
doing this,’” she continued. “Honestly, it hurt, but wasn’t as bad as everyone
made it seem and maybe because everyone hyped it up and I thought it would be
really, really bad. Then it wasn’t as bad as I expected.”
“I wish people would stop worrying about thigh gaps,” she
said. “Seriously, I think it’s so pointless. I don’t even know why that
was a thing. You’re hurting yourself by even worrying about it. It’s just
awful.”
Kendall has joined the ranks of nipple piercers within her
own family. Wild child little sister Kylie Jenner, 18, has had her
nipple piercing for quite some time. She first showed it off in January,
when a pal of Kylie’s friend posted a pic, and it showed the reality star in a
lavender halter top with no bra — exposing what looked like a tiny
bar going through her left nipple.
