Google has joined in congratulating the Queen on becoming
the longest-reigning monarch in British history with a subtle tribute.
Her Majesty today completes 63 years and 216 days on the
throne, breaking the record set by her great-great grandmother Queen Victoria.
And Google UK have wished her well with a message on its UK
homepage.
Unlike the usual Google Doodles marking a special date,
beneath the search box is the simple message 'Congratulations Ma'am'.
This official portrait marking the day Queen
Elizabeth II becomes Britain’s longest-reigning monarch displays the
qualities that have endured through her time on the throne.
