A West
Ham fan was so sure that his side would not win at Liverpool, he
promised to ink a life-long mark to his leg if they did.
Almost 24
hours before the Hammers travelled to Anfield, pessimistic fan Jon High took to
Twitter to make a bold claim.
He tweeted:
"52 long years since the famous Irons won at Anfield. If we do it tommorow
(sic) i shall get a tattoo to commemorate the famous occasion!"
So when West
Ham did win their first game at Liverpool since September 1963, he had a pretty
big promise to fulfill.
Over 700
retweets later, he was heading down to the local tattoo parlour after the
Hammers claimed a thumping 3-0 win.
Now, sitting
with pride of place on his leg is a tattoo of the result, along with the names
of the three goalscorerers - Manuel Lanzini, Mark Noble and Diafra Sakho - and
their goal times.
